April 28: LINNEMAN'S RIVERWEST INN, Milwaukee, WI. 8-10:15pm "Poets Monday 2014" Readings 8-9pm. Concert by Jack and Jill at 9pm.  In the midst of their jazz set, Jack and JIll will do a unique poetry / music blend incorporating the writings of Jim Spencer and Martin Jack Rosenblum on stage in the concert room which has excellent acoustics.  Alcohol served in the bar.  1001 E. Everything is done right here.  The chairs and couches are very comfortable. It's easy to get to and easy to park on the streets next to the venue. August 13: THE KENOSHA PUBLIC LIBRARY SOUTH, 7979 38th St. Kenosha, WI. 53141.  7pm.  Jack will give a 90 minute talk (with recorded examples) on the 9 periods of jazz: Ragtime, Dixieland, Big Band, Bebop, Cool, Avant Garde, Bossa Nova, Fusion and Smooth as well as the role various instruments play in jazz.  Free and open to the public.

August 16: ARTHUR FOWLER CD RELEASE PARTY / CONCERT , Milwaukee WI. Linneman's, 1001 East Locust St. Jack plays with guitarist / composer / vocalist Arthur Fowler and his band celebrating the release of Mr. Fowler's CD "What's Keeping Me Going".  Art is currently residing in Japan and will be in the United States promoting the CD.  The new recording is a collection of his recent compositions along with one tune by Jimi Hendrix and one by Neil Young.
